HEALTHY MEALS FOR DIALYSIS PATIENTS

Changes should be made to increase the contentment of dialysis patients concerning meals and to improve their nutritional status. This conceals a wealth of parameters which affect both patients, their families, caregivers and food producers.

To unravel the parameters anthropologerne.com interviewed 22 dialysis patients at two hospital wards and made 6 home visits with patients, and delivered insights into the praxis, attitudes and experiences of the users in relation to meals and food restrictions in their lives.

Project partners are: TCM Denmark, Danish Kidney Association, Dalum College of Food and Technology, Danish Technological Institute, Hospital of Southern Denmark in Sønderborg, and Odense University Hospital.

The Project is financed by the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority together with EU the European Union – The Regional Fond.
